• pRESIDENT:  JOHN GEIGERT, PH.D.

    Dr. Geigert graduated with a Ph.D. degree in organic/analytical chemistry from Colorado State University. He has over 35 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry, including being a Vice President of Quality & Executive Officer at two major pharmaceutical companies. He has been President of his own pharmaceutical consulting firm since 2001. He has been EMT certified for over 10 years. For more than 15 years, John has participated in and/or led short-term medical mission trips.

  • vICE PRESIDENT & SECRETARY:  JANE E. ANDERSON, m.d., facp, fAAP

    Dr. Anderson graduated with a M.D. degree from the Medical School of the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed her pediatric residency at Stanford University. She has practiced pediatric medicine for 33 years at the University of California, San Francisco where she was Clinical Professor of Pediatrics. She has also has served as a director on other boards and is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the American College of Pediatricians and the National Physicians Center for Family Resources. For more than 15 years, Jane has participated in short-term medical mission trips.

  • tREASURER:  KARL ANDERSON, m.d., faCS

    Dr. Anderson graduated with a M.D. degree from the Medical School of the University of California, Los Angles, and completed his urologic residency at the University of California, San Francisco. He has practiced urology with The Permanente Medical Group at the South San Francisco Medical Center for 31 years. He serves on the board of the National Physicians Center for Family Resources. For more than 15 years, Karl has participated in and/or led short-term medical mission trips.

  • KAREN sCHAPPERT

    Karen Schappert graduated from the University of California, Davis with a BA in political science.  Karen and Bill were married in 1974, and they have both served in ministry in San Francisco for almost five decades.  Karen assisted in the administration and development department for a Christian junior high and high school as well as serving on the Board of Trustees of that school for 11 years.  She coordinated and taught a Bible study for women for 10 years, and most recently, Karen and Bill have participated on MSI medical mission trips to Swaziland, Guatemala, and the Middle East.
