John Geigert, Ph.D.

President and Board of Directors Member

Dr. Geigert is our President and member of the Board of Directors. John graduated with a Ph.D. degree in organic/analytical chemistry from Colorado State University. He has over 35 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry, including being a Vice President of Quality & Executive Officer at two major pharmaceutical companies. He has been President of his own pharmaceutical consulting firm since 2001. For more than 10 years, John has led and participated in short-term medical mission trips.


Jane E. Anderson, M.D., FACP, FAAP

Vice President and Board of Directors Member

Dr. Anderson is our Vice President and member of the Board of Directors. She graduated with a M.D. degree from the Medical School of the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed her pediatric residency at Stanford University. She has practiced pediatric medicine for 33 years at the University of California, San Francisco where she is Clinical Professor of Pediatrics. She has also has served as a director on other boards and is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the American College of Pediatricians and the National Physicians Center for Family Resources. For more than 10 years, Jane has participated in short-term medical mission trips.


Claudio Catena, Businessman

Evangelism/Chaplain and member of the Leadership Board

Mr. Catena is a member of the Leadership Board and serves as MSI's evangelism outreach and chaplain. He has been a businessman and a general contractorfor over 30 years. He has served as a church elder, board member, youth pastor and deacon. For more than 10 years, Claudio has participated in short-term mission trips.


Ann Strain, B.S., PA-C

Medical Supplies Coordinator and member of the Leadership Board

Ms. Strain is a member of the Leadership Board and handles MSI's medical supplies coordination. She completed her physician assistant studies at the Stanford University. She has practiced for 19 years, specializing in internal medicine, addiction medicine, and pain management. For more than 10 years, Ann has particpated in short-term medical mission trips.


Karl Anderson, M.D., FACS

Treasurer and Board of Directors member

Dr. Anderson is our Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors. He graduated with a M.D. degree from the Medical School of the University of California, Los Angles, and completed his urologic residency at the University of California, San Francisco. He has practiced urology with The Permanente Medical Group at the South San Francisco Medical Center for 31 years. He serves on the board of the National Physicians Center for Family Resources. For more than 10 years, Karl has led and participated in short-term medical mission trips.


Jennifer Rau, M.S., PA-C

Secretary and Board of Directors Member

Ms. Rau our Secretary and member of the Board of Directors. She graduated with a M.S. degree in health sciences (physican assistant) from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She currently practices emergency medicine in Oklahoma. For more than 5 years, Jennifer has participated in short-term medical mission trips.
